Melford
Electronics was formed in Windsor in 1969, as a supplier of video
monitors and switching equipment to the expanding television broadcast
industry. The company rapidly established an enviable reputation
for excellent service and high reliability, and major customers
acknowledged the stability of our monitors. This resulted in wide
acceptance of Melford products and the Company's continued expansion
and concentration exclusively on monitoring equipment. A move in
1973 to High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire provided increased space for
production and additional R & D facilities.
Today Melford Electronics is one of the leading European suppliers
of specialist and general-purpose monitors for civil and military
applications. Our customer list reads like a Who's Who of Top International
organisations including companies involved in broadcasting, air
traffic control, airport management, power generation, radar and
electronics manufacturing, hospitals, research centres, major retail
outlets, the police, local authorities and railways. NATO defence
forces, and a number of overseas military and naval forces also
use Melford Electronics monitors.
Supplied around the world to undertake a variety of tasks, the company
produces an extensive range of standard monitors. We also design
equipment to customer's own specifications, using advanced CAD techniques
together with our own in-house Environmental Chamber - for Testing
purposes. This includes mechanical design, styling, PCB and circuit
design. All development, testing and manufacturing is at the company's
High Wycombe factory. |
